If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? We are actively looking for a vacation home in Palmetto Bluff I love how you have privacy but also have wonderful amenities near to enjoy. I also love the idea of being surrounded by nature with bike trails that run through thru center of it.
What are three words to describe your style?

Tell us about your childhood bedroom? A room with tongue and groove dark stained walls, my bed was a mix of purple and gray patterns along with family antiques throughout the room. My room was not anything fine or special, but at the time, it felt like home to me
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? A Louis Phillippe mirror that has moved with us over the years. It is a wonderful layering piece that works with an abundance of styles and décor.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Billy Baldwin

People think of me as someone who likes to socialize and stay active but I am really a homebody

If you were on an Ambien high and internet shopping, what would you buy? A full set of Prada luggage
Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how? Yes- I try to buy investment pieces and wear them for long periods of time. There is a lot of mixing and layering of staples in my wardrobe.
Who is your star crush? Colin Firth
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? Bright, floral patterns on large upholstery- I can appreciate it but it is too bright and busy for my personal home
What design book do you find yourself going back to again and again? I love Bunny Williams’ books and am especially drawn to “A House By The Sea”. She has a beautiful, collected style and I love hoe she is such a gracious host.
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for? Transforming lives for the better by giving families a place to relax, live life to the fullest, and build memories with loved ones.
A Few Favorites:
Movie: Terms of Endearment- I cry each time I watch it
Book: The Kite Runner or The Nightingale- hard to choose between the two
Scent: I do love a mix of Eucalytus and Peppermint diffused during the holidays ; the smell of fresh-cut Fraser Fir greenery
The fabric you always come back to: Holland and Sherry’s Melange Wool series. It is a beautiful wool fabric that drapes beautifully.
Dream project: A small boutique hotel in a quaint vacation area
Meal: Pizza- I rarely eat it anymore but it is a comfort food from my childhood
Drink: Mountain Valley Spring Water; When I enjoy a cocktail, a Dewars scotch and soda (with a twist of lime) is my favorite
Hotel: Castiglion del Bosco in Tuscany It is incredible and words will not do it justice
Travel Destination: I love Paris for the food, atmosphere and shopping
Artist: Arthur Price- he is from Alabama and I love the depth of his work. He will paint a scene (many times they include his loved ones or animals, and he will then paint over the canvas where you will see glimpses of what is below.
A cause near and dear to me: The Catholic Center of Concern. Operated by nuns, they help people with the most basic necessities in life
Thing to collect obsessively: Antique boxes

Dogs, Cats, or No Pets? Bitsy, our Yorkie Poo, is 17 years old. She is dear to my heart, especially as she has lost most of her eyesight and hearing
