Emily Tucker
If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? We are pretty happy in Colorado but I do miss New York, so I would love to have a little apartment in the city.
What are three words to describe your style?
Timeless
Colorful
Personal
Tell us about your childhood bedroom? Well, when my family moved into the house in which my parents still live, I was 12 and my mom got drapes that were THE EXACT SAME COLOR as the walls and I had a total meltdown. I have never thrown such a tantrum in my life, and my mom had the drapes changed to a contrasting color. Hah! I was such a little diva.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? I bought a brass Chiavari chair (that was slightly bent) when I was 24. I think I paid $500 for it which felt like an enormous sum of money at the time
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Michael Smith or David Netto

People think of me as a decorator, but I am really an aspiring architect/ builder. I LOVE being part of the building process, and understanding how things are made so I can better support my clients in their homes.
