If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live?
Aspen—it’s one of my favorite places. I love the atmosphere and the pace, and it’s somewhere I would love to have a home one day—possibly even open a studio.
What are three words to describe your style?
Layered, timeless, curated
Tell us about your childhood bedroom?
Growing up, my room was very girly—pink with floral wallpaper, matching drapery, and a custom canopy bed. I loved it. It’s quite different from my style now, but I still believe kids’ rooms should feel fun, whimsical, and layered with color and pattern.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house?
An art piece by Thrush Holmes. Ben and I have continued to collect over time and really enjoy discovering and supporting emerging artists whose work we connect with—we purchased one of his pieces early on and still love it.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be?
It’s hard to choose just one—there are so many designers I admire and continually look to for inspiration.
No room is complete without
Drapery—it brings softness, scale, and a sense of finish to a space.
People think of me as very organized, but I am really more instinctual and creative in how I work.

Waiting until the last minute—but I always get it done, even if it means a 4 a.m. start.
If you were on an Ambien high and internet shopping, what would you buy?
Clothes—everything I’ve saved and hesitated to buy. I’m not typically an online shopper and prefer to shop in person, so I always have carts full of things I’m not quite ready to commit to.
Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how?
Yes—I tend to stick to a uniform so I always feel put together but comfortable. Neutral tones, simple silhouettes, and an emphasis on tailoring and materiality. My go-to is jeans and a tee with a great sweater or tailored jacket. In colder months, I’m often in zip-up boots; in warmer months, flats or slides. I’ll usually finish with a statement earring or piece of jewelry. Similarly, in interiors, I focus on classic, comfortable foundations and then layer in more unique elements—fabrics, accent chairs, tables, and objects.
Who is your star crush?
I don’t know if I can answer this! ;)
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it?
Overly ornate, traditional interiors. It’s not my personal approach, but when done well, they can be incredibly beautiful.
What design book do you find yourself going back to again and again?
Works by Jacques Grange and Joseph Dirand
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for?
Spaces that feel elevated yet deeply livable—thoughtful, balanced, and never overdone.
