If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live?
My second home would be on the French side of Saint Martin, a spectacular island filled with cultural heritage, effortless charm, and the most incredible tropical spirit. There is something so magical about being there; it feels like stepping into another world, an escape from the everyday where the pace softens, the colors feel richer, and the air itself feels inspiring.
I love the tropical climate, the vibrant island energy, the French-Caribbean influence, and the beauty of tropical design. I would be so excited to create a dream seaside home that captures the essence of island living feeling open, breezy, relaxed, and deeply connected to the landscape.
The vision would be a home layered with natural textures, beautiful architectural details, worldly pieces, and a sense of character that feels collected over time. It would embody the quintessential charm of tropical coastal living, but with a sophisticated, global aesthetic and an inviting, soulful, and inspiring as the perfect second-home getaway.
What are three words to describe your style?
layered
sophisticated
worldly
Tell us about your childhood bedroom?
My childhood bedroom was the first space that truly felt like my own. We didn’t have a lot of money, but I had a lot of creativity, so I would hunt through Ikea and thrift stores for unique pieces, and I still remember being 15 and assembling an entire Ikea bed by myself, which gave me such a sense of joy and independence.
I loved choosing my own bedding, decorating every detail, and making the room feel cohesive and complete. Even then, I was drawn to creating spaces that felt personal, thoughtful, and perfectly considered.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? The first investment pieces I ever bought for my home were designer chairs. I have always appreciated the art of a great chair, especially pieces created by master architects and designers, because they feel well crafted, functional and sculptural.
I remember getting excited and finally investing in a few favorite pieces at once; the Philippe Starck Ghost chairs, which I scattered around the house, as well as a set of 4 Artifort Nina dining chairs for my breakfast table and an Artifort Boston lounge chair for the living room. I still have that Boston chair to this day, the wool upholstery is still in great condition and it has since migrated into my son’s bedroom, which makes me love it even more.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be?
No room is complete without DRAPERY & Original works of art
People think of me as elaborate – at first glance, but I am really genuine and humble

Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how?
Absolutely. My personal style is very much aligned with my design sensibility, I am drawn to pieces that feel chic, feminine, tailored, and elegant, but always with a touch of youthfulness and personality.
I like to keep things European classic with a bit of flair, and I definitely don’t shy away from color. Whether it’s in my wardrobe, my designer bags, or my interiors, I love pieces that feel polished, expressive, and thoughtfully put together.
Who is your star crush? I am not big into celebrity spotting, but I may crush on Tom Cruise if he walks my way.
What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? That’s a hard one, because I have explored so many design styles and as a firm we have really flexed our creative muscles over the years. Our skills and perspective have evolved onto many design languages, but ultimately, if something doesn’t feel authentic to me or I don’t truly love it, I wouldn’t want to bring it into a project.
What design book do you find yourself going back to again and again?
I love Slim Aarons, & De Gournay Hand painted Interiors
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for?
I would love for my work to be known for creating classic, timeless, and elegant interiors that still feel livable, warm, and playful. To me, the most beautiful spaces are not only refined and enduring, but also full of personality, comfort, and joy.
