If you could have a second home anywhere, where would you live? A pink Victorian farmhouse in the countryside outside of Houston.

Tell us about your childhood bedroom? I had a few iterations, but my favorite was a white iron daybed covered in Laura Ashley bedding, white wicker furniture, and blue and white wallpaper with a floral border of course.
What’s the first investment piece you ever bought for your house? After borrowing a large piece of vintage abstract art from Reeves Art Gallery for a showhouse, I loved it so much I couldn’t let it go back to his store. The colors are some of my favorites and I love the movement. It’s held a prominent spot in our homes ever since.
In the history of design, if you could hire any designer other than yourself, who would it be? Sister Parish

Do your clothes reflect your design sensibility, if so, how? Yes! I’m big into mixing high and low and love a great Zara or Target find mixed with a Gucci scarf or bag.

What is the thing you would never do on a project, but don’t detest when you see others do it? A super mod sculptural sofa that you don’t actually want to sit on
What design book do you find yourself going back to again and again? All of Jeffrey Bilhuber’s books
For posterity, what would you like your work to be known for? For being incredibly personal, comfortable and beautiful.

A cause near and dear to me: The Safety Navigator - A dear friend started this nonprofit after the July 4th tragedy in Texas last year to help equip summer camps with safety protocol and procedures to make every camp safe for children to enjoy.
